Cork Open Winter 2026: New Venue, New Firsts

What an incredible day! Cork Open on 1 March is done and dusted, and we couldn't be more thrilled with how it went. A massive thank you to every competitor, coach, and supporter who came out and made it such a brilliant event.

A New Home: Neptune Stadium

This was our first time running a Grappling Series event at Neptune Stadium, and we're really pleased with how it all came together. The venue offered excellent facilities and a great atmosphere for competition. We're looking forward to building on that experience going forward.

No-Gi for Kids: A First!

For the first time at a Grappling Series event, we ran a No-Gi division for kids. It was wonderful to see the young competitors step up to the challenge, and the standard on display was impressive. It's something we're very excited to continue developing.

Prizes for Adult Absolute Winners

We were delighted to introduce prizes for the adult absolute division winners for the first time at a Grappling Series event. With absolute divisions running across belt levels, we had multiple winners on the day.

Gi absolute winners received Ground Game vouchers worth up to €400
No-Gi absolute winners earned free registrations to our upcoming 2026 competitions

Fair play to all the winners, it was thoroughly deserved. We're committed to continuing to reward the competitors who go that extra step.
