And that's us done for 2025! On 30 November, the Cork Open Fall wrapped up our first season in some style, with the most competitive day of grappling we've seen yet. With €2,250 in prize money up for grabs, the academies weren't messing about, and the day absolutely delivered.

Overall 2025 Series Champions
When all four competitions were tallied up, the overall 2025 Grappling Series champions were:
1st Place: Studio Galera - €1,000
With 817 total points across the season, 72 gold medals, and 168 wins, Studio Galera's consistency from February right through to November earned them the top prize. They claimed victory at the first three events before finishing third at the finale.
2nd Place: Dragon BJJ - €750
Dragon BJJ's 716 points, 55 golds, and powerful finish at the Fall competition secured them second place overall and €750. Their trajectory throughout the year was deadly, showing steady improvement all the way.
3rd Place: Aontach JJ - €500
Aontach's 604 points and 49 gold medals earned them third place and €500. Their presence in the top three at every single event was no fluke, that's proper consistency.

Four competitions, some absolutely class moments, and a community that just kept getting stronger. Our first year running the Grappling Series has been unreal, way beyond what we hoped for.
