Returning to Single Elimination
After the success of the Round Robin format in May, the summer event returned to single elimination brackets for both Gi and No-Gi divisions. The format kept the day moving efficiently while maintaining the high level of competition athletes had come to expect from the Grappling Series.
Leaderboard Update
After three competitions, the overall standings showed:
- Studio Galera - Leading the series
- Dragon Jiu Jitsu - Close behind in second
- AONTACH JJ - Holding onto third
The September competition results mirrored this trend, with Studio Galera taking first (180 points), Dragon BJJ second (175 points), and Aontach third (136 points). The margin between first and second was just 5 points on the day, showing how competitive the top tier had become.
Strong Individual Performances
Fair play to Shannon Jiu-Jitsu Academy, who had a brilliant showing, finishing in 5th place overall with 72 points and an absolutely class win rate. T45 Jiujitsu continued their consistent performance, securing 4th place with 75 points.
International competitors from Australia (CHECKMAT) and the United States (CHECKMAT INTERNATIONAL) added to the diversity of the competition.
